The Cambridge IGCSE Spanish speaking exam (Paper 3, specification 0530) lasts approximately 10 minutes and has two sections. First, a Role play of approximately 2 minutes: you receive a candidate card at the start of your 10-minute preparation time and respond to 5 transactional tasks (for example, shopping, booking, asking for information). Each task is scored 0–2, giving 10 marks. Second, two Topic conversations of approximately 4 minutes each, on topic areas allocated at random by your teacher/examiner using a Cambridge randomisation grid. Both conversations are marked together on Communication (15 marks) and Quality of Language (15 marks), giving 30 marks. Total: 40 marks, worth 25% of your IGCSE. The exam is conducted by your teacher and moderated by Cambridge International.
